Today, I am in my studio playing around with a few collage ideas that I have been considering for a larger painting. If you have been following me, you know that I like to use these little 5 inch cubes for experimenting with color and techniques. Sometimes they just become a dumping ground for my leftover paint that I don't want to go to waste. (Yes, I'm that cheap.)
A priority for me today is to take some time and go over to Paint Party Friday and take a look around at every one's awesome projects. I haven't had the time the last two weeks to party hardy over there, so I have designated time today to cut loose and run wild through the links! (Yes, I'm also lame.)

Love the wavy lines - it gives it such a feeling of movement!
I love the idea of using the small format to experiment with creative ideas - great job! Thanks for connecting me to your Pinterest - I have not really jumped in to that world yet but it definitely looks like fun.
You should never waste paint. Good girl for using it up on new projects - I love a bit of paint splotching!
Verrry cool! :-)
Love the way you work out your colors on 5x5 pieces. BTW, I like the colors in the photo. Very nice. Faye
Fun creations ~ great idea about using excess paint~ ~ thanks, namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) Happy PPF ^_^
Yay for you being featured all over the place! Congratulations.
Can't wait to see what becomes of your little test collage canvases. They are already quite lovely.
small format is a great idea for experimenting... not cheap... green baby... you are being environmentally sound... that's the excuse I use anyway... love watching the progression xx
Very neat way to find ideas. Congrats on your refinishing project being received so well.
So glad you're back to party hardy with us!!!
Happy PPF!!

p.s. I go through all the links, too. :)
Awesome art fun...great stuff! Thanks so much for popping by over at Pop Art Minis too...very nice to meet you!
really cool texture in your painted cubes. I can't bear to waste paint either and I have baskets of paint-smeared scraps just waiting to be repurposed into collage.
Are your painted cubes finished or at one point in the process. They are very pretty now! I like to do something with extra paint too.
Thanks for your comment. I don't live in Orlando - that cloud was one I watched in awe during my last visit. As I was writing about clouds, I realized that each time i have been in Orlando there have been amazing clouds (usually after brief storms). Lucky you to see them all the time!
Your 5x5s are looking good. Good luck and have fun with the tests. Congrats too :)
Happy Weekend Lesley,
Ev

I love reading home/craft and saw your knobs featured! Fantastic. :) I am a paint saver too...every bit counts!
Someof my best ides have come from not wasting paint. Now I tend to paint straight out of the tube for just that reason. Collage is fun. Look forward to seeing what you do with it.
I love the colors in your squares! I've been trying not to waste paint either -- at the very least I keep some watercolor paper handy to dab the extra paint on when I'm finished working. It will be fun see how your collages end up. I'm going to come back for ideas. I've got some in-process squares at the moment as well!!!
p.s. I love your decorating savvy -- very inspiring and fun.
How fun. Your creations and ideas are great. Thanks for sharing.
You are so so wonderful and sweet! I am SO glad to be one of the blog gals out there that got to feature your beautiful cabinet---it is fantastic! I know how it feels to think---well it is just little ol me and they think what I did is cool....such a great feeling! And I am here to say YES YOUR AREEEE amazing :o)
